Mildred Tyner Burgess

Mrs. Mildred "Millie" Tyner Burgess, 75, of 2700 Brady Avenue, died Sunday, August 28, 2005, at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2005, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Weldon Key and Rev. Kenneth Upright will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence. Mrs. Burgess was born October 26, 1929 in Chesterfield County, S.C. She was the daughter of the late Hardy Avender Tyner and Effie Martin Tyner. She retired several years ago from Jackson Park Pharmacy. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Alan "Chuck" Burgess, who died July 2, 1980. Mrs. Burgess is survived by her husband, John C. "J.C."Burgess; daughter, Reba Renee Lee and friend, Wayne Hershberger, of Kannapolis; sons, Richard Gordon Rouse, and wife, Bonnie, and Jeffrey Scott Burgess and wife, Becky, all of Kannapolis; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
