Mildred Bostic Corl

Mrs. Mildred Bostic Corl, 92, formerly of Old Concord-Salisbury Road, died Sunday, January 10, 2010, at Bob & Carolyn Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. A funeral service is scheduled for 7:00 pm Tuesday, January 12,2010,at Memorial Baptist Church. Her nephew, Rev. Tim McQueen will officiate. Interment will be at New Gilead Reformed Church Cemetery in Concord at 2:00 pm Wednesday. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:45 pm Tuesday at Memorial Baptist Church. At other times, the family will be at the home of her daughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Frank Alexander Corl who died in September 2000. Mrs. Corl was born October 11, 1917 in Cabarrus County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Frank Lloyd Bostic and Lillie McQueen Bostic. She retired from the spinning room at plant number two of Cannon Mills and was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Corl is survived by daughter a Doris Corl Shoe Church and husband Jerry of Kannapolis; grandchildren, Jeff Shoe and wife Wende, Sonya Shoe Helms and husband Joe; step-grandchildren, Denise Church, Sherri Hannah and husband Billy and Leanna Howard and husband Roger; great-grandchildren, Jase and Austin Shoe, Alley and Carson Helms; six step-great-grandchildren, Maddy and Will Howard, Savannah Church, Elysa, Alexandra and Nataani Hannah; and a special friend and caregiver Doris Hurst.
