Mildred Hinson

Mrs. Mildred “Millie” Honeycutt Hinson, 82, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Tucker Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Central United Methodist Church in Concord. Rev. Andy Langford and Rev. Susannah Pittman will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday beginning at 10:00 am at the church. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Friday at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hinson was born on May 19, 1931 in New Hanover County. She was the daughter of the late Phillip M. Honeycutt and Mary Lee Hatley Honeycutt. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Clifford “J.C.” Hinson; and son, Kenneth “Sonnie” Alan Hinson.

Mrs. Hinson is survived by two grandsons, Alan Hinson and wife Kim of Concord and Jason and Sara Hinson of Monroe; two great grandchildren, Trey Hinson and Kaci Hinson; and a host of family and friends.
