Mildred Mcdaniel Pickrel

Mildred McDaniel Pickrel, 86, died April 9, 2006 at Hospice House of Cabarrus County. Born August 5, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Minnie Wilson McDaniel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 2:00 PM at the First Wesleyan Church of Kannapolis with Dr. Forbis L. Kivett and Rev. Edwin Chriscoe officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Park. Survivors include two sons, Bobby Larry Pickrel of the home and Jerry Pickrel of Kannapolis; three grandchildren, Scot Wendelken of Pickens, SC, Lisa Fowler of Concord, and Rachel Pickrel of China Grove; three great grandchildren, Abbir, Amalie, and Andie Marie Wendelken of Pickens, SC; four sisters, Rose Smith of Gastonia, Emmalee Staley of China Grove, Henrietta Tallardy of Salisbury, and Barbara Shoemaker of China Grove. Mrs. Pickrel was preceded in death, in addition to her parents by her husband, Lester J. Pickrel; two brothers, Alvin (Buck) McDaniel and Ralph McDaniel. Memorials may be donated to First Wesleyan Church, 301 Bethpage Road, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Boy Scout Road, Kannapolis, NC 28081, in memory of Mrs. Pickrel.
