Milton Addison Mattox

Milton Addison Mattox, 88, of 315 Glenn Avenue, Kannapolis, died Monday, October 10, 2005, at NorthEast Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2005, at Memorial United Methodist Church. The Rev. Otis L. Snow will officiate. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at their respective homes. Born November 5, 1916, in Madison County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Robert Mattox and Frances Davis Mattox. He retired several years ago from the filter plant of Cannon Mills, after 55 years of service. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II and was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sallie Melton Mattox, who died September 21, 1983. Survivors include two sons, David Mattox and wife, Suzanne, and Robert Mattox and wife, Linda, of Kannapolis; four grandchildren, Keith Mattox, Tracey Campbell and Kellie Little, all of Kannapolis and Ashlyn McLaughlin of Denver; and five great-grandchildren, Melissa Little, Brian Little, Dylan Campbell, Adyson Campbell and Emma McLaughlin. Memorials may be sent to Memorial United Methodist Church, 1100 West C Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
