Mr. Mitchell Lynn Austin, 57, passed away Monday, November 5, 2012, at his home

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 9, 2012, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Keith Dudley will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the home of his sister, Angela Soden, 520 Daugherty Road, China Grove, NC 28023.

Mr. Austin was born on August 26, 1955 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of Sarah Grimes Austin of China Grove and the late Thurman Varnallis Austin. He was employed with Frank's Automotive as a technician. Mr. Austin enjoyed wood working, playing poker and also liked fishing.

In addition to his mother and sister, Mr. Austin is survived by his wife, Leigh Dudley Austin of Denver; daughter, Cheryle Wood and husband Ryan of Salisbury; sister, Pamela A. Gordon of Garner and granddaughter, Claire Wood.
