Mozelle Childers Keene

Mrs. Mozelle Childers Keene, 76, of 1156 Red Line Road, died Sunday, November 4, 2007, at Big Elm Nursing Center. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at Centerview Baptist Church. Rev. Willie Rash will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of a son, John Keene, 800 Safrit Avenue, Kannapolis. Mrs. Keene was born March 17, 1931 in Taylorsville, NC. She was a daughter of the late James Virgil Childers and Pansy Elizabeth Reece Childers. She retired from Table Supply in Kannapolis. She was a member of Centerview Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Roy Keene, Sr., in 1967. Mrs. Keene is survived by three daughters, Vickie K. Ferguson of New Jersey, Dena Stegall (Max) of China Grove, Becky Stegall (Gary) of Kannapolis; two sons, James Keene and John Keene, Jr. (Cheryl), all of Kannapolis; two sisters, Dot Pressley of Concord and Inez York of Kannapolis; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
