Nancy Wilson Knight

Ms. Nancy Wilson Knight, 72, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Ms. Knight is survived by daughter, Shelley Burke and husband Joe; granddaughter, Vada Jo Burke; two sisters, Kathy Jarvis and husband Richard and Joy Cheek and husband Jerry; brother, Ron Wilson and wife Phyllis; four nephews, Mark Wilson, Kipp Cheek, Andy Cheek and Brandon Jarvis; many great nieces and nephews.

Ms. Knight was born August 15, 1945 in Iredell County. She was the daughter of the late Oni Wilson and Rachel Winecoff Wilson. Ms. Knight worked as a hairdresser for 52 years. She was passionate about art. She created many beautiful pieces of artwork in acrylic, water color and oils. She was also very proud of her nephew's mission trips to Uganda. Several pieces of her work are from pictures he brought back from these trips. She loved hearing the stories of how God worked through him and his fellow missionaries in their trips to Africa.
