Mrs. Nell Hoke Alexander, 92, of Salisbury, formerly of South Ridge Avenue, Kannapolis, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, July 19, 2013, at Lady Read Obituary
So sad to hear the news. We are so thankful that we were able to celebrate her 90th birthday with you all.
Dear Mimi, I am sorry I could not be at the service Yesterday. I heard it was nice. Nell and Ken and Hayden and I had such good times. I'll never forget them. I loved them both. My sympathy to you and your family. I know that Madison is a big girl now. I remember how Nell looked forward to seeing her. I also remember Nell's good humor. She was always in a good humor. Hope
Emily, so sorry to hear about your mother, she was always a lovely, sweet lady. She will surely be missed. I lost my mother in 1998 and there are times when I still want to pick up the phone and call her. Mother's are always your best friend. My prayers are with you and your family.

Emily, I am so sorry to learn of the loss of your mom. Having lost my parents a number of years ago does still leave a certain void that only they could fill. However, the memories are a wonderful consolation and I hope they provide you great comfort. My prayers are with you in the coming days.
