Nelson Gene Austin
August 24, 1942 — February 14, 2018
Mr. Nelson Gene Austin, 75, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Carolinas HealthCare System-NorthEast in Concord.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. George Morris will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Austin was born August 24, 1942 in Bluefield, WV. He was a son of the late Ghost Nelson Austin and Bea Martin Austin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Brenda Rae Clark Austin.
Mr. Austin is survived by daughter, Tina Smith of Rockwell; grandson, Raymond Tallman; great-granddaughter, Railey Lynn Tallman; and great-grandson, Urijah Gabriel Tallman.
