Nina Ruth Morton

Mrs. Nina Ruth Sides Morton, 93 passed away Monday, May 11, 2015, at Tucker Hospice House.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Carolina Memorial Park.

Mrs. Morton was born on February 11, 1922 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late John Wesley Sides and Mattie Pearl Bost Sides. She retired as a folder in the sheet department of Cannon Mills. Mrs. Morton loved gardening and working in her yard. She was a beloved aunt to her special nieces that helped care for her as well as a loving grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Priness Jack Morton; daughter, Vicki Morton Marks; two brothers; and four sisters.

Mrs. Morton is survived by her two grandchildren, Scott Marks and wife Angela of Mint Hill and Tracy Wilhelm and husband Mark of Platte City, MS; and three great grandchildren, Dylan Marks, Taylor Wilhelm and Allison Wilhelm.
