Nina Crider Roberts, 80, of 308 North Avenue, Kannapolis, left Tuesday, December 19, 2006, to join her husband, Hoyt Roberts, to whom she was married for 64 years and died October 29, 2006. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Warren Miller will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Born June 30, 1926, in Royston, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Doc Crider and Ella Fowler Crider. She retired in 1962 from China Grove Cotton Mill. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Watson and Grady Crider; and four sisters, Ann Chambers Winnie Safrit, Jack Faggart and Louise Owens. Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Hurst and husband, Ronnie, of Norwood; son, Donnie Roberts of Concord; brother, Kie Crider of Kannapolis; sister, Sue Mooney of Concord; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
