Ola Mae Rivers Jordan

Mrs. Ola Mae Rivers Jordan, 94, a resident of Big Elm Nursing Center, and formerly of Barlow Avenue, Kannapolis, died Saturday, June 9, 2007, at the nursing center. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Richard L. Jordan, Rev. Charles Savage and Rev. Mark White will officiate. Interment will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. Born June 13, 1912, in Chesterfield County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Gildy Rivers and Julia Boatwright Rivers. She was homemaker and a member of Westside Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carson Newsom Jordan, preceded her in death in September 1959. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Stack and husband, Jeff, and Evelyn Ballard and husband, Curtis, of Kannapolis; a son, the Rev. Richard L. Jordan and wife, Linda, of Grove City, OH; a brother, Elvin Rivers of Kannapolis; and 11 grandchildren.
