Ollie Jean Patterson Mcknight

Mrs. Ollie Jean McKnight, 90, passed away Friday, December 18, 2020, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Monday, December 21, 2020, at West Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Dr. Jarrod Lanning will officiate. Memorial recognition for Ollie will be included in the regular 10:30 am service Sunday, December 27th at Trinity Lutheran Church Landis.

Mrs. McKnight was born September 7, 1930 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Patterson and Carrie Velma Sloop. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church Landis. Mrs. McKnight was an employee of Rowan County Schools, where she taught fourth grade for many years. She was a Lenoir Rhyne graduate class of 1952. Mrs. McKnight also Volunteered her time at Price of Freedom Museum.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Carl McKnight.

Mrs. Mcknight is survived by two sons, Eric McKnight and wife Karen and Carl McKnight and wife Rameth; brother, Emmett Patterson and wife Emily; two sisters, Mable P. Brown and Alice P. Bittinger; two grandsons, John McKnight and wife Kristen and Seth McKnight; granddaughter, Lily McKnight; and one great grandson, CJ.

Memorials may be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church, 108 W. Rice Street Landis, NC 28088.
