Othelia Barnhardt Connell

Mrs. Othelia Barnhardt Connell, 83, of 701-11 S. Deal Street, Landis, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at NorthEast Medical Center in Concord. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2005, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel in Kannapolis. The Rev. Leon Hawks will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home. Born March 10, 1921, in Mocksville, NC, she was a daughter of the late George Daniel Barnhardt and Lutia Mallory Barnhardt. She was retired from the spinning room of Cannon Mills. Her husband, Harold Connell, preceded her in death on July 29, 1999. Survivors include a son, James Braxton Connell of Landis; two grandchildren, Chasity Parker of Concord and Braxton Connell of Landis; and a great-grandchild, Payton Parker of China Grove.
