P. Michael Heath

Mr. P. Michael Heath, 94, died Thursday, November 26, 2009 at Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2009 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Tom Whidden will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Born December 12, 1914 in Rose Hill, NC, he was the son of the late Daniel Heath and Annie Matthews Heath. He attended Wake Forest University and worked for many years as a commercial architect. Mr. Heath was a member of Concord First Assembly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Heath; and his wife, Gladys Fulwood Whidden Heath. Survivors include three sons, Larry M. Heath and wife Betsy of Kannapolis, D. Jack Heath and wife Judy of Greensboro, Gary Heath and wife Shirley of Marshall, Texas; six grandchildren, Michael and James of Kannapolis, Joi and Jeff of Greensboro, Heather and Monica of Marshall, TX; and nine-great-grandchildren.
