Patricia Ann Horne Craddock, 83, of Concord, went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 2, 2026, after many years of declining health.
Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of her family and friends carried her through six long years of illness.
Patricia was born April 17, 1943 in Cabarrus County. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Claude Horne and Mrs. Lavania Horne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin Horne; and a grandson, Leonard “Lenny” Furr.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Michael Eugene Craddock; three daughters, Annette DeVault, Tonia Childress (Gene) and Crystal Craddock; four grandchildren, Jeremy DeVault, Jason Bynum, Amber Furr and Joshua Furr; and three great-grandchildren, Kaylee Bynum, Payton DeVault and Christopher “CJ” Summers.
Patricia loved God and loved her family. She enjoyed going to church, praising the Lord, giving her testimony, singing the gospel, and serving the Lord her entire life, even through increased sickness. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially during the holidays, doing crafts, and shopping.
Though her time here was not nearly long enough, the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will remain forever in our hearts.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”- 2 Timothy 4:7
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Lady’s Funeral Home, with the funeral service to follow, with Pastor Chuck Overcash officiating.
Burial will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove following the service.
