Mr. Patrick Leon "Pat" Teal, 48, of 3305 Saint Peter's Church Road, Salisbury, and formerly of Kannapolis, died June 12, 2002. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 15, 2002, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Chaplain Fleming B. Otey will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park with Military rites conducted by DAV Chapter 27 of Concord and Masonic rites conducted by Cannon Memorial Masonic Lodge #626 of Kannapolis. The lodge will open at 1:00 PM on Saturday. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. At other times they will be at the residence. Born August 14, 1953, in Cabarrus County, he was a son of the late Ernest Everette Teal and the late Myrtle Cribb Teal. He was employed as a medical clerk at the W. G. Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury. Mr. Teal was a veteran of the US Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 342 and was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a 32nd degree mason and was a member of Cannon Memorial Masonic Lodge #626, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Scottish Rite Research Society, Kannapolis Chapter #349 Order of the Eastern Star and the Oasis Temple of Charlotte. Survivors include his wife, Louise Morgan "Lucy" Teal; one son, David Leon Teal of Georgia; two step-daughters, Tracey Cauble of Salisbury, Deena Mills and her husband, Mike of Rockwell; one step-son, Billy Cauble of the home; three sisters, Wanda Knight of Salisbury, Emily Coone and Judy Helms, both of China Grove; two brothers, Jerome W. Teal and Pete Teal, both of Kannapolis; thre grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 or the Masonic Home for Children, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565.
