Mr. Paul Bernard Hallman, 95 of 4200 Irish Woods Drive, Concord, NC died at home Sunday, November 17, 2002. A memorial service for Mr. Hallman will be conducted in the chapel of Lady's Funeral Home, Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Grady Barringer and Dr. Steve Mowery will officiate. Interment will be in the Bethpage Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home and will make headquarters at 4200 Irish Woods Drive where he made his home with a grandson, Dirk Myers. Mr. Hallman was born in Gastonia, NC on January 14, 1907 a son of the late William B. Hallman and Anna C. Thornburg Hallman. A supervisor of weaving for Cannon Mills he went to work in 1918. He was also an artist, carpenter, fisherman, gardner and marksman. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Sherrills Ford, NC. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Boggs Hallman and his second wife, Reau Sides Hallman, three brothers, Harry, Lionel and Arthur Hallman and a sister Frances Horne. Mr. Hallman is survived by two daughters, Joanna H. Myers of Concord, and Jackie H. Browning of Kannapolis, two sisters, Geneva Honeycutt of Mooresville and Connie Price of Sherrills Ford. Grandchildren include, Paula Myers, Dean Myers, Dirk Myers and Bridget McSwain, fourteen great-grandchildren, Russell Myers, Kristin Smith,Laura Parks, Dirk Myers II, Zachery Myers, Marissa Myers, Jesse Myers, Johnathon Hartsell, Joshue Hartselll, Cody McSwain, Lindsay McSwain, Alex Whitley, and Alexa Whitley, three Great Great Grandchildren, Kale Myers, Lillian Myers and Hunter Parks.
