Paul Martin Holshouser

Mr. Paul Martin Holshouser, Jr., 86, went home to be with The Lord on Monday, May 27, 2013, from CMC-NorthEast.

A memorial service is scheduled for 12:00 pm Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Epworth United Methodist Church. Dr. Glenn Myers and Rev. Raymond Davis will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:45 am Saturday at the church.

Paul was born March 26, 1927 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late Paul Martin Holshouser, Sr. and Elizabeth Dorton Holshouser. He was a veteran of the US Navy and proudly served during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Campaign. After 28 years, he retired from Kale-Lawing Company in Concord where he worked as a manager. Paul was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Jaycees, The Lion’s Club and Rotary Club. He was also in the Civil Air Patrol where he enjoyed his love of flying.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Marshall Holshouser.

Paul is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rebecca “Becky” Miller Holshouser; daughter, Pam H. Smith and husband Butch of Kannapolis; son, Martin Holshouser and wife Lori of Concord; five grandchildren, Victoria and Julia Holshouser, both of California, Brian Smith and wife Meredith, Steven Smith and wife Crystal, and Brandon Smith and wife Melissa, all of Concord; and four great grandchildren, Walker, Ava, Wristen and Kelcee.
