Paul Kounlamith

Paul Kounlamith, 67, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Inthava Inthisane will officiate.

Mr. Kounlamith was born on January 10, 1947 in Laos. He was a son of the late Nou Kounlamith and Thun Vongsakoun Kounlamith. He pastured churches in Johnson City, NY and Stockton, CA. Mr. Kounlamith assisted many Laotian churches in the Kannapolis area. He was passionate about mission trips to Laotian villages, making sure to visit his and his wife’s home towns each year. He lived for God and his family.

Mr. Kounlamith is survived by his wife, Penny Kounlamith; five children, Scott Kounlamith and wife, Noonie, of Dallas, TX, Kathy Pendlay and husband, Sam, of Kannapolis, Susan Kounlamith of Cornelius, Johnny Kounlamith of Kannapolis and David Kounlamith and wife, Cara, of Houston, TX; and five grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Michael, Haven and Skylar; and expecting the sixth grandchild soon.
