Pauline Ruthie Bunton

Mrs. Pauline Ruthie Overcash Bunton, 91, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at Five Oaks Manor.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 6, 2013, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. George Kuhn of Second Chance of Albemarle will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:00 am Friday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bunton was born on May 15, 1922 in Rowan County. She was the daughter of the lat Erskine Overcash and Effie Mae Yost Overcash. She worked as battery filler for Cannon Mills.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy B. Bunton and her son, Kenny Ray Bunton.

Mrs. Bunton is survived by her daughter, Linda Simmons of Landis; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
