Pauline Matthews

Mrs. Pauline Dillard Matthews, 91, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at PruittHealth Town Center in Harrisburg.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, March 20, 2016, at St. Enoch Lutheran Cemetery. Rev. Dale Cline will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 pm Sunday at St. Enoch Lutheran Church in the Fellowship Hall.

Mrs. Matthews was born October 21, 1924 in Cherokee County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Poley Monroe Dillard and Nora Adams Dillard. She worked at Cannon Mills Plant One #7 spool room. She was a member of St. Enoch Lutheran Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Eugene Matthews, whom died September 25, 2002; a brother and a sister.

Mrs. Matthews is survived by daughter, Jan Matthews of Kannapolis; and son, Jim Matthews of Denver, NC.
