Pauline Nichols

Mrs. Pauline Sheets Nichols, 80, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013, at Transitional Health Services.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, September 23, 2013 at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ellen Campbell Gardner will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 am Monday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nichols was born on July 19, 1930 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late William Sheets and Pearl Smith Sheets. She retired as a weaver from Cannon Mills, Plant #4.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Kay Josey; two sons, Billy Ray Josey and Donnie Ray Foster; and sister, Lorine Foster.

Mrs. Nichols is survived by three sons, David Josey and wife Corsina and John Wayne Josey and wife Christel both of Kannapolis and Larry Joe Josey and wife Barbara of Salisbury; two sisters, Katherine Smith of Concord and Frances Barnhardt of Kannapolis; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
