Pauline Morrison "Polly" Preslar, age 88, of Landis, died Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at CMC-NorthEast, Concord. Funeral services for Mrs. Preslar will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Landis. Pastor Jarrod Lanning will officiate. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday in the Lipe Fellowship Center at Trinity Lutheran Church from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. Born in Cabarrus County, June 5, 1921, she was the daughter of the late, Clifford Lowe Morrison and Goldie Alexander Morrison. Having worked in office administration, she had formerly been employed with Rowan Medical Center, Grove Supply Co., Cannon Mills and Montgomery Ward. Polly was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Friendly Sunday School Class and had served as their treasurer as well as treasurer for the Trinity Fellowship Club. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husbands, Buford Franklin Hartsell and Glyn George Preslar and a brother Harlen "Spike" Clifford Morrison. Survivors include a brother-in-law, Bill Hartsell and wife Linda of Concord and their son George Hartsell, a nephew, Phillip A. Morrison of Hemet, CA, great nieces and nephews of CA; and a number of cousins and special friends, Lynn and James Furr and Daisy and R.J. Rodgers.
