Mrs. Pauline Elizabeth Treadway Parker, 95, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Carolina Memorial Park. Rev. Leon Hawks will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service
Pauline was born August 3, 1930 in Pores Knob, NC. She was a daughter of the late Rufus William Treadway and Alma Catherine Kerley Treadway. Pauline was a faithful member of Crosspointe Baptist Church. She graduated from Wilkesboro High School in 1948 and later followed her calling to care for others by earning her nursing degree from the Louise Harkey School of Nursing in 1951. Pauline devoted many years to serving her community as a Registered Nurse with the Cabarrus County Health Department before retiring. Even in retirement, her desire to help others continued as she worked with Pathways Home Care. Pauline also found great joy in baking goodies for the Concord Fire Department, a special way she showed love and support for her grandsons who proudly serve there as firefighters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Charles Parker; sister, Gracetene T. Johnson; two brothers, William "Jack" Treadway and Mack J. Treadway.
Pauline is survived by two sons, Lewis Charles "Charlie" Parker, Jr. and wife Teresa of Concord and Tim Michael Parker and wife Amy of Kannapolis; five grandchildren, Chase Parker, Charles Parker, Chad Parker, Hunter Parker and Jon Kimray; and eight great grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
