Pete Furr

Mr. Clifford "Pete" Eugene Furr, 78, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017, in Concord.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:30 pm Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 pm Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mr. Furr was born May 13, 1939 in Cabarrus County. He was the son of the late Clifford Lee Furr and Audrey Mullis Furr. Mr. Furr worked for the Cabarrus County School System as a bus mechanic for over 30 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jewell F. Harrington.

Mr. Furr is survived by his wife of over 53 years, Shirley Jane Goodnight Furr; two sons, Randy Furr (Scott Adams) of Charlotte and David Furr (Amy Gillie) of Durham; two sisters, Tennia Auten of Kannapolis and Betty Rivers of Reidsville; and one grandson, Noah Cameron Gillie-Furr.
