Peter Ward Martin

Mr. Peter Ward Martin, 72, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A Memorial Service will be held at World Christian Church in Kannapolis on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 3:00 pm. His son in law, Richard Babcock, will officiate.

Mr. Martin was born January 28, 1944 in Ellsworth, Maine. He was the son of the late Phillip Naham Martin and Doris Ward Martin. He worked for Maersk Line Limited as a port engineer.

Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Ann Martin; adaughter, Shelley Babcock and husband, Richard, of Kannapolis; son, Joshua Martin and fiancée, Laurie Snow, of Ellsworth, Maine; a brother, Austin Ashe, of Maine; 8 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
