Mr. Phillip "Phil" Aaron Corn, Sr., 77, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Jon Harless will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Interment will be 10:00 am Monday at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
Mr. Corn was born April 26, 1941 in Concord. He was a son of the late Roy Francis Corn and Naomi Taylor Corn. He graduated from A.L. Brown High School. He was employed by Concord Telephone Company and UNC-Charlotte, where he worked as a Line Technician. He was a member of The Brook Church and served as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher. Phil was well known as an avid gardener. He loved gold panning and fishing at the coast especially at Fort Caswell and Myrtle Beach. He also loved singing and playing his dulcimer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Holmes.
Mr. Corn is survived by his wife, Diane Williford Corn; two daughters, Emily Wallace and husband Daniel of Kannapolis and Melissa Coulter of Chattanooga, TN; son, Aaron Corn and wife Marie of Concord; seven grandchildren, Daniel Coulter, Adam Coulter, Nick Corn and wife Ashley, Jessica Shue and husband Preston, Anna Wallace, Emma Wallace and Luke Wallace.
