Phillip Leroy Gaddy

Mr. Phillip LeRoy Gaddy, 62, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013.

A funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Enochville. Dr. Jeff Spry will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Lady�s Funeral Home.

Mr. Gaddy was born on November 25, 1950 in Concord. He was a son of the late William LeRoy Gaddy and Helen Troutman Gaddy. He worked as an educator and as a blacksmith with membership in the American Blade Society. He retired from both. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and former master of Cannon Memorial Lodge in Kannapolis.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Teague Gaddy of Statesville; two sons, Phillip LeRoy Gaddy, II and wife Bryce of Concord and Patrick Braden Gaddy of China Grove; daughter, Brittney Gaddy and fiance Blake Haigler of Kannapolis; two step-children, Shannon Morgan and husband Darrell of Stony Point and Matthew Payne and wife Holly of Statesville; five grandchildren, Jaxon Gaddy, Landen Gaddy, Reilly Morgan, Reece Morgan, and Nathan Payne; aunt, Estelle Goodnight of Thomasville; cousin, John Troutman and wife Jean of China Grove; and the mother of his children, Sharon Shue Gaddy of Kannapolis.
