Phillip Michael Walters

Mr. Phillip Michael Walters, 67, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Taylor and Deacon Dan Seufert will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1 - 1:45 pm Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mr. Walters was born June 22, 1949 in Monroe, NC. He was a son of the late Rev. Henry Lloyd Walters and Mary Lou Helms Walters. He worked as a welder. Mr. Walters was of the Baptist faith and was a great and devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Walters; brothers, Charles Walters and Roy Lee Walters; and sister, Geraldine Walters.

Mr. Walters is survived by three brothers, Glenn Walters and wife Debbie of Greer, SC, Jerry Walters and wife Mary Ann of Indian Land, SC, and Lloyd Walters of Jamestown, NC; three sisters, Annette Bennett and husband John of Myrtle Beach, Betty Griffin of Monroe, and Doris Walters of Wilmington; numerous nieces and nephews; and second mom, Louise Pethel, her son, David Pethel, and her grandsons, Garrett Pethel and Ethan Pethel.
