Phyllis Ann Carter

Phyllis Ann Hartsoe Carter age 72, of Kannapolis passed away Monday, January 23 at CMC-NorthEast Medical Center.

She was born July 7, 1939 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Elmer Wilson Hartsoe, Sr. and Belle Rash Hartsoe. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Elmer W. Hartsoe, Jr. Survivors her daughter, Ann Marie Edgison of the home. One brother, Gwyn David Hartsoe and wife Rachel of Kannapolis. Her dear friend of 65 years, Elaine Scott, and her faithful canine companion Trissy.A memorial service will be held Thursday January 26, 1012 at 2:00 PM, from the Kannapolis Church of God. Rev. Barbara Watkins will officiate. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church. Phyllis was employed with Concord Telephone Company as a Telephone Operator and as a cashier at K & W Cafeteria.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lady's Funeral Home, 268 N. Cannon Blvd, Kannapolis, NC. 28083 to assist with expenses. Lady's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements for Phyllis Ann Carter .
