Phyllis Ann Yost

Mrs. Phyllis Ann Moss "Phil" Yost, 82, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016, at Carolinas Healthcare System - NorthEast in Concord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church. Rev. Rafe Allison will officiate. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 pm Thursday at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Yost was born January 8, 1934 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Edward Louis Moss and Theresa Lee Wilhelm Moss. She retired from the maintenance department as a secretary of the former Cabarrus Memorial Hospital after 25 years of service. She was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, where she was active in all phases of her church. Phil enjoyed to crochet and many other crafts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Katherine “Kat” Thompson.

Mrs. Yost is survived by her husband, Bobby Yost; step-daughter, Sue Myers and husband Mark of Harrisburg; step-son, Tommy Yost of Concord; granddaughter, Allison Myers; grandson, Samuel Myers; nephew, Harold Thompson and wife Patsy; and niece, Leigh Dugan and husband Jonathan.

Memorials may be made to Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 4500 Rimer Road, Concord, NC 28025, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
