Polly Cauble Earley

January 4, 1916 — August 28, 2004

Mrs. Polly Cauble Earley, a resident of Best of Care, and formerly of East C Street, Kannapolis, died Saturday, August 28, 2004, at NorthEast Medical Center after several years of declining health and being seriously ill since July 5. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2004, at Calvary Baptist Church. Dr. Dale Tanner and Dr. Greg Pierce will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of her daughter, Joyce E. Bost, 205 Vanderbilt Avenue (Enochville Community), China Grove. Born January 4, 1916, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late William F. Cauble and Annie Roseman Cauble. She retired in 1979, after 46 years of service, from the washcloth department of Cannon Mills. Prior to her membership at Calvary Baptist, she taught Sunday school for many years at Elwood Lane Freewill Baptist Church and Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church. After her retirement, she turned to her passion for helping others by driving her friends to doctor's appointments and running numerous errands. Up until the decline of her health in the fall of 2003 she, for many years, had a card and tract ministry. One of the highlights of her life was her trip to the Holy Land in 1977 and being baptized in the River Jordan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers. Survivors include her daughter, Joyce E. Bost, and her husband, Don, of China Grove; two grandchildren, Yvonne Haney Dykes, and her husband, Keith, of Hinesville, Georgia and Brandt Haney, and his wife, Teri, of Powder Springs, Georgia; and five great-grandchildren, Breanne, Carlee, Mackenzie, Amanda and Jadon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Gideons International, P.O. Box 52, Kannapolis, NC 28082.
