Rachel Steelman Lunsford

Mrs. Thomas Rachel Lunsford, 67, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Carolinas HealthCare System-NorthEast in Concord.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel.

The family receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 1:45 pm prior to the service Thursday.

Mrs. Lunsford was born July 16, 1950 in Roanoke Rapids, NC. She was a daughter of the late Thomas H. Steelman and Bernice Price Steelman.

Mrs. Lunsford is survived by her husband of 40 years, David Lunsford; two daughters, Lisa Lunsford-Dronin and husband Matt of Indian Land, SC; Sherry Lunsford of Salisbury; a son, Sonny Lunsford and wife Stacy of Mooresville; three sisters, Sarah Henry and Jane Campbell, both of Kannapolis and Crystal Corriher and husband Joel of Landis; two half sisters, Anna Morral and Sherry Young; granddaughter, Kristi Brawley; two grandsons, Austin Lunsford and Drake Dronin; and one great-grandson, Lawson Brawley.
