Ralph Monroe Wilson

Mr. Ralph Monroe Wilson, Sr., 70, passed away Monday, January 13, 2014, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday, January 16, 2014, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Leon Smith will officiate. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:30 pm Thursday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Wilson was born on May 5, 1943 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late Carl Wilson and Lucy Lipe Wilson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Rodgers Park Baptist Church. Mr. Wilson was owner and operator of Ralph’s Upholstery.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Fritz Wilson in June 2006.

Mr. Wilson is survived by three children, Ralph Wilson, Jr. and wife Karen and Alisa Wilson Furr, both of Kannapolis and Darrel Wilson and wife Marissa of Whitsett; sister, Pauline Dagenhart of China Grove; thirteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
