Mr. Randolph "Randy" Gene Hartley, 70, passed away Friday, October 16, 2026, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 am Monday, October 26, 2026, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church. Father Luyen Dau C.Ss.R. will officiate.

Randy was born April 28, 1956 in Nuremberg, West Germany. He was a son of the late Dwight Blan Hartley, Sr., and Franziska Irene Eck Hartley. He was a member of St. James the Greater Catholic Church. Randy was a 1974 graduate of South Rowan High School and subsequently graduated from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. He retired as maintenance supervisor at Phillip Morris in Concord. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Marie Hartley; and a brother and sister-in-law, Herbert and Diane Hartley.

Randy is survived by two brothers, Mark Hartley (Debbie) of Granite Quarry and Blan Hartley (Laura) of Indian Trail; his sister, Carmen Hartley of Kannapolis; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the medical staff at Atrium Health Cabarrus, Novant Health Rowan and Trinity Oaks Rehab in Salisbury, for devoted care of Randy.
