Raymond Joseph Olivia

Mr. Raymond Joseph Olivia, 72, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at NC State Veterans Home in Salisbury.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6:00 pm Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Lady's Funeral Home.

On Friday, December 13, 2013, the family will receive friends from 10 am to 12:00 pm at Hickcox Funeral Home in Watertown, CT. The Reverend D.J. Evans will officiate. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Watertown, CT.

Mr. Olivia was born January 19, 1941 in Bridgeport, CT. He was a son of the late Emil Olivia, Sr. and Sophie Kondracki Olivia. Raymond was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked as a mason with the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen.

Raymond was a devoted husband and father. He loved the Lord and was an active member of Concord First Assembly.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Carol Lenhart Olivia; six children, Raymond Olivia and wife Yuna of Seymour, CT, Laureen Pompilli of Madison, CT, Tami Clark and husband John of Concord, Jeffrey Olivia and wife Julie of Concord, Lori Gasparrini and husband Mark of Concord, and Joseph Bednar and wife Jennifer of Chicopee, MA; brother, Emil Olivia, Jr. of Shelton, CT; sister, Sharon Michelwicz of Shelton, CT; and ten grandchildren, Sophia, Ryan, Christopher, Nathan, Anthony, Kenneth, Nicholas, Anna, Ella and Leah.
