Raymond Bernard White

Mr. Raymond Bernard White, 77, of Kannapolis, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013, at CMC-NorthEast in Concord.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at Bethpage Presbyterian Church. He will lie in-state for one hour prior to the service. Rev. Ellen Campbell Gardener will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8:00 pm Tuesday in the Fellowship Hall of Bethpage Presbyterian Church.

Mr. White was born February 13, 1936 in Augusta, GA. He was a son of the late Raymond Sylvester White and Mable Sims White. He worked for Mecklenburg County for 35 years as an Assistant Tax Administrator. After he retired, he worked for Rocky River Golf Course in Concord.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy White Baskins.

Mr. White is survived by his wife, Betty Stallings White; two daughters, Denise W. Aycoth of Avery County and Cheryl Kusper and husband Edmund of Kannapolis; four grandchildren, Trey Aycoth, Michael Aycoth, Meghan Kusper, and Matthew Kusper; niece, Sandra Baskins; and nephew, Franky Baskins.
