Reather Thomason Freeman

Reather Thomason Freeman, 88, of 321 Corriher Heights Avenue, China Grove, died Friday, July 9, 2004, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2004, at Carolina Memorial Park. The Rev. David Franks will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of a daughter, Joyce Fish, 122 Tanglewood Drive, Kannapolis. Born November 15, 1915, in Madison County, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Jake Thomason and Mattie Fitzpatrick Thomason. She was a graduate of Ila High School and was a lifetime member of Ila Baptist Church in Ila, Georgia. She retired in 1981 from the pillowcase department of Cannon Mills Plant One. Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Fish and her husband, Ralph, of Kannapolis; three sons, Tommy Gene Freeman of Landis, Jerry Dean Freeman and his wife Rickie of Mooresville and Butch B. Freeman and his wife Christine of Clover, SC; one sister, Ethel Keaton of Peachtree City, Georgia; a brother, J. T. Thomason of Ila, Georgia; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
