Mrs. Reba Arlene Plott Christy, 80, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, May 29, 2026, at Enochville Church of God, where she was a dedicated member. Pastor Carl Richard Fosdick and Rev. David Shoemake will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Reba was born October 25, 1945 in Concord. She was a daughter of the late Thomas Watson Plott and Grace Matilda Rabon Plott. She dedicated many years of her life working for Cannon Mills as a towel packager and later worked in the cafeteria at A.L. Brown High School. More than anything, she cherished her family and her faith. She loved the Lord deeply, found great joy in reading her Bible, and was always willing to share God's word and encouragement with others. Her kindness, faith, and loving spirit touched many lives and will be remembered by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Daniel Christy; son, Joe Christy; one sister, Patricia Fink; and three brothers, Joseph Plott, Eddie Plott and Jimmie Plott.
Reba is survived by her daughter, Tami Miller (Barry) of Mooresville; son, Chad Christy (Kelly) of Kannapolis; three sisters, Margaret James, Nancy Christy and Jeanette Martin, all of Kannapolis; two sisters-in-law, Terri Plott and Audrey Plott, both of Kannapolis; five grandchildren, Derrick Pate of Fayetteville, Devin Miller of Kannapolis, Cody Christy (Morgan) of Mooresville, Caleb Christy (K.J.) of Kannapolis and Kayla Hopkins (Brian) of Kannapolis; and eight great grandchildren, Kacyn, Alayna, Oliver, Tatum, Adeline, Milo, Emorie and Franklin.
