Rebekah Richards Strickland

Mrs. Rebekah Ann Richards Strickland, 58, of 1510 12th Fairway Drive, Concord, died Thursday, December 5, 2002, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 Pm Sunday, December 8, 2002, at First Assembly Worship Center. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Pastor Sam Farina and Pastor Tom Whidden will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Saturday at First Assembly Village in Suite 15. At other times, they will be at the residence. Mrs. Strickland was born January 18, 1944 in Kankakee, IL. She was a daughter of the late Glenn Charles Richards and Beulah Weller Richards. She was a graduate of Flowing Wells High School in Tucson, AZ and attended LIFE Bible College in Los Angeles, CA. Mrs. Strickland had lived in this area since 1970. She was a member of First Assembly of God. Survivors include her husband, Wayne S. Strickland of the home; a daughter, Sherry Ann Rivers and her husband, Craig Allyn Rivers, of Gulf Shores, AL; a son, Allen Wayne Strickland of Charlotte; three brothers, Benjamin Joe Richards of Cedar Ridge, CA, Simon Peter Richards of Mesa, AZ and Daniel Eugene Richards of Canyon City, CO; and three grandsons, Abram Bryce Rivers, Isaac Brody Rivers and Eli Brantley Rivers.
