Mr. Reid Monroe Bost, 74, of 5830 Highway 152 East, Rockwell, NC, went on his journey home to glory at 1:15 a.m., Friday, July 19, 2002, at his residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Sunday, July 21, 2002, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Bill Cutshaw will officiate. Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 PM Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Mr. Bost. Mr. Bost was born January 3, 1928 in Rowan County. He was a son of the late John Washington Bost and Viola Mae Beck Bost. He formerly owned and operated Bost Swimming and Bost Drywall. He also owned a go-cart track and a restaurant. Mr. Bost formerly served in the Merchant Marines. He was a member of Holy Power Church in Rockwell, where he served as a deacon and elder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers. Mr. Bost is survived by his wife, Lucille Keller Bost, of fifty-five years and six months; two daughters, Deborah Bost Cutshaw and her husband, Bill, of Rockwell, Toyce Lucille Bost of the home; son, Jerry Reid Bost, and his wife, Tina, of Rockwell; three sisters, Nell Bost Moon and Grace Bost Sapp, both of Salisbury, and Mabel Rose Misenheimer of Faith; five grandchildren, Amanda Cutshaw Maske, Crystal Cutshaw Helms, Jessica Cutshaw, Bryan Bost and Aaron Bost; three great grandchildren, Cody Maske, Christin Maske, and McKayla Cutshaw.
