My thoughts and prayers go out to the McElhannon family for their loss. May Rick rest in peace forever......
So sorry to hear of Rick's passing. A good guy with a great sense of humor. Our kids grew up together and we have some wonderful memories. My prayers go out to the family.
To the McElhannon family,
I want you to know what a respected person and athlete Rick was in our hometown of LaFayette, NY. His substantial contributions on the baseball and softball diamonds were only surpassed by the friendliness and respect he gave everyone. He always gave a warm welcome and a big smile. He will be missed for sure but not forgotten. I send my sincere condolences to the whole family and may we keep up the fight against this terrible disease. From an younger teammate who looked up to Rick,
Dave Coye
Condolences to all the family. Growing up with an older cousin like Rick was great. The football and softball games at Gram's. The comments he got away with when he played Santa. I know he had great friends here and I know, talking to Bobby, he had great friends down there.
Our deepest sympathy to the McElhannnon family .....Sincerely, Lloyd & Ann Amidon
Wishing the entire McElhannon family healing prayers for the passing of Rick. God bless all of you........
I will always cherish memories of Big Bend Texaco and Rick always with a kind word or smile. He will be sorely missed. I pray for "Fair winds and following seas" for him on his journey!
My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Rick. When I was growing up in LaFayette, he was one of the men I looked up to, that inspired me to serve the nation.
Rest in Peace brother veteran.
