Ricky Lee Cheek

Mr. Ricky Lee Cheek, 53, of 1303 Debbie Circle, Kannapolis, died Saturday, April 6, 2002, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at Friendship Freewill Baptist Church. Rev. Marler Starnes and Rev. Willis Parrish will officiate. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 PM Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. The family will be at the residence of Mr. Cheek at other times. Mr. Cheek was born December 26, 1948 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of Gilbert J. Cheek and Emma Sexton Cheek. Mr. Cheek was an avid fisherman. Mr. Cheek, in addition to his parents, is survived by his brother, Jimmy Leonard of Kannapolis; sister, Beverly Brantley of Kannapolis; nieces, Alisha Brantley, Megan Dixon, Cynthia Bean; nephews, Justin Brantley and Jeff Leonard; and many friends.
