I worked for Jim Cronin Bobbys (how I knew him) dad, met Bobby around 1980, though he was serious about his work we always had wide smiles and time to talk, his dad had him work at the shop, Glendale Truck & equipment Glendale Ca for about a month or two just before he started CRD in Hunnington Beach Ca, I think it had something to do with a down payment on some start up money for CRD. Boy did we have fun working side by side and got tight. I helped him with the Glendale Truck sponserd sprint car of Greg Jones for a few years and he became my main go to guy for all things race engine. Bigger than life having his cell phone that he always answered and had time for a cordial( Heyyy how ya doin) before talking tech, I know this letter is a little late. Bobby thanks for the memories. So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I worked with Bob in 1987 at Peerless Racing where he was our engine builder/tuner (through Dennis Fischer) and again at Tom Gloy Racing, where we powered our Trans Am cars with CRD engines. When I moved to NC, I found Bob here again, supplying power to Nick at CRP Racing, a customer of mine also. His work and product were always the best.

My condolences to his wife, children, family and friends. RIP, Bob.

We built product for Bob's dyno. I enjoyed the few times I spoke with him on the phone and at trade shows.

So sorry to hear about the loss of Bob Cronin. Know that he is home in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
