Robert Wallace Dartnell

Mr. Robert “Bob” Wallace Dartnell, 88, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Lutheran Home in Salisbury.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Gaylord Millspaugh will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mr. Dartnell was born on July 15, 1924 in Tarpon Springs, FL. He was the son of the late Harry Hall Dartnell and Dorothy Marie McMillen Dartnell. He served in the US Navy during World War II. Mr. Dartnell has lived in Kannapolis since 1972.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Smith Dartnell.

Mr. Dartnell is survived by his two children, Dan Allen Dartnell and wife Sue, of Kannapolis and Donna Lee Graham, of Sanford; step-daughter, Linda Diane Van Zandt of Houston, TX; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of the Trinity Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center for the kindness and care Mr. Dartnell received during his illness.
