Robert Clarence Fletcher

Mr. Robert Clarence Fletcher, age 76, a resident of Avante at Concord and formerly of 11th street Kannapolis, died Monday September 27, 2010. Graveside services for Mr. Fletcher will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Carolina Memorial Park. The Rev. Leon Hawks will officiate. Mr. Fletcher was born in Cabarrus County on March 29, 1934, a son of the late Lewis A. Fletcher and Ruth Tate Fletcher. He retired from Cannon Mills after 46 years employment. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, L.A. Fletcher, Jr. Survivors include two sisters, Patsy Ruth McFayden and husband Billie of Greensboro and Mary Willaree Jessup and husband John of Kernersville and a number of nieces and nephews. The family extends a special thanks to the staff of Avante at Concord for their love, kindness and support that has been given to him and them for many years.
