Robert George Fricker

Robert “Bob” George Fricker, 96, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Kannon Creek Nursing Center in Kannapolis.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends after the service at Lady’s Funeral Home Amity House.

Mr. Fricker was born on October 20, 1917 in Brainerd, MN. He was the son of the late Jacob Fricker and Bertha Strickler Fricker. He retired from real estate sales and formerly was a business machine technician with Olivetti-Underwood. Bob was very active in the Masonic community including the Zuhrah Shrine in Minneapolis, MN, a Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Eastern Star. Bob loved his family and traveling on family vacations in pursuit of his hobby, photography.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Alta Hanson Fricker.

Mr. Fricker is survived by two sons, Steven Fricker of Mooresville and Robert Fricker and wife Amelia of Hobe Sound, FL; and one grandson, Derek Fricker.
