Robert Alexander Mcclary

Mr. Robert "��Bob"�� McClary, 89, a wonderful husband and father, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013, at CMC-NorthEast in Concord.

A memorial service for Mr. McClary is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 12, 2013, in Lady's Funeral Home Chapel, Kannapolis. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

Mr. McClary was born on September 27, 1923 in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Joseph Burwell McClary and Florence Fisher. A veteran of the US Navy, he served in the Pacific Theater. In 1944, he graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill and as a CPA operated McClary, Stocks & Smith Accountants in Kannapolis for many years. Bob also served on the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners for 11 years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Mark McClary.

Survivors include his wife, Jerri P. McClary; two sons, Robert A. McClary, Jr. of Pawleys Island and Bobby Frank Ballard of Concord; two daughters, Pamela Marlene Ballard of Concord and Candace Edelmann of Ryebrook, NY; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Rae Campagna of Mooresville.
